I wanted to share with you an incredibly moving song my old college buddy, Sean Rivers, wrote about the devastation in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Please keep Loryn Brown, her family and the families of all the others who lost their lives in the tornado in your thoughts and prayers. And Roll Tide Roll.

Many people assume that all young professional golfers are enjoying some sort of ultra cushy lifestyle with no cares in the world. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Sure, we get to be outside all day playing a sport we love, but it’s much more than that — it’s work. A j-o-b. A constant struggle to get to the next level. A neverending battle within yourself. The short piece below highlights three young guys trying to grind their way to the PGA Tour via the Hooter’s Tour. Interestingly enough, Nick Rousey (who is featured below) is a fellow University of Alabama golf alum, and Mike Welch (also featured) is a buddy of mine from Orlando. Have a peek at what it’s like to be a mini tour pro with no status, fighting for your livelihood.
